Why Your Presence Matters Oil and gas companies are among the largest contributors to greenhouse gas emissions, intensifying the global climate crisis. Their CEOs and lobbyists have lied repeatedly to their own workers and the public about climate change and the economics of oil and gas. Climate change is NOT workers' fault and it's not your fault. Climate change IS the result of stalls to progress that have benefited the very few at the expense of those who have lost homes (and in some cases whole communities) to wildfires and other climate impacts in Canada. It's time to discuss the ways to tackle climate change at the grassroots level and the role of local communities in shaping Canada’s energy policies; strategic actions and innovative solutions to cap emissions and accelerate our transition to cleaner energy.
