Ben Vallee / The Silver Sardines

Ben Vallée is a singer-songwriter and pedal steel guitarist from Dorval, Quebec, who has been a mainstay in Montreal's underground roots scene for nearly a decade. The Silver Sardines are a folk group fronted by the wonderful singer and songwriter Malte Zumbansen. The songs on The Silver Sardines’ debut album, recorded almost entirely live off the floor at Sud-Ouest Recording Service, speak as much about relationships as they do about their original topics: everyday tragedy, lost love, and the things baked into our blood.
