"Cuban Salsa" - Sackville Rueda de Casino group open house

We have a "rueda de casino" dance group – aka Cuban Salsa. We meet every Monday night in Sackville and we're starting up again on Monday September 15th at 7pm. We invite anyone who is interested to come and check out our "open house" first week or two. If you've never done partner dancing before, never done latin dance, or never tried rueda de casino – you're welcome to come. A group of us having been doing it for the last couple of years, but we're always happy to start from scratch again at the beginning of the season to allow new members to join the group, and get them up to speed. It's a super fun, energetic dance, with elements that would seem familiar if you've seen salsa dancing, square dancing, contradance, etc – we dance in partners, but in a large circle, and then have constant calls that allow us to do different dfigures and switch partners etc. A bit of a game, a bit of a team sport, and a whole lot of laughter, fitness and fun. It's affordable too - we charge enough to cover the costs of the space rental.
