Sackville Film Society: SORRY, BABY

Dir. EVA VICTOR, USA, 2025, 104 mins The story of Agnes (Eva Victor), a young professor at liberal arts college, Fairpoint, in New England. When we first meet her, she's welcoming her bestie, Lydie (Naomi Ackie), over for a visit and we soon get the sense that Agnes is dealing with an event from a few years earlier that had a major impact on her life. Beautifully written, directed and brought to screen with a very balanced, sensitive and re- alistic performance by debutant Eva Victor. The movie is truly deserving of its premiere and writ- ing award at Sundance and being the closing movie of the director's fortnight at Cannes.
