Sackville Film Society: IF I HAD LEGS I'D KICK YOU

Dir. MARY BRONSTEIN, USE 2025 103 mins. The plot centers around Linda (Rose Byrne), a psychotherapist trying to balance her job with her 10-year-old, nameless daughter who suffers rom some sort of unnamed illness that demands she receive constant care and attention. At turns prosaic and A24 "quirky", the plot is elevated to story- telling greatness by Byrne and Bronstein, whose go-for-broke commitment to the protagonist's distress ensures we never lose sight of her humanity or relatability.
