Make Something Sunday Family Program Freestyle Stitching

Take an experimental approach to embroidery. We’ll be using large plastic needles, perfect for first-time stitchers, along with a rainbow of yarns, beads and super-sized sequins. Make Something Sunday is a monthly program that introduces new materials and ways of making art through informal hands-on workshops for kids 12 and under and their grownups. Complementing Make Something Sunday is our Play Atelier, a pop-up space that extends opportunities for families to engage in open-ended, sensory and creative play. At the heart of the Play Atelier is a light cube that functions as a stage for experiments with colour and light. Various changing materials offer new and unexpected avenues for playful exploration.
